What is a Foofaraw...... Well the dictionary says that it is a

"NOUN: 1. Excessive or flashy ornamentation. 2. A fuss"

A perfect description for the wonderful shawl / hat pins that are made by the American Artist Lindsay Porter.

Lindsay has been interested in crafting all her life. Working with her hands gives her real joy. A few years ago, she began work at Yarns Unlimited in Sewickly, PA. She says that it was one of the best things that ever happened to her. She was creatively inspired all the time! It was there that the idea for Foofaraws was born. She has since moved back to her home state of Colorado where she continues to be an avid knitter and seamstress for interior designers.

These are wonderful pins.The sticks for Foofaraws are laquered bamboo and average 5" long. The beads are from everywhere! Bead types and styles are constantly changing, making for unique and limited runs of Foofaraw designs.
